I was really disappointed with my stay at Americas Best Value Inn Reno. The location was decent for my needs, being close to downtown and the Reno Air Races, but the overall cleanliness and service were lacking. The room conditions were questionable, and while the breakfast was included, it left much to be desired.
Rooms

My room was only questionably clean and had a strong smell like a smoking room even though I booked a non-smoking one. The carpet was in terrible shape and lights by the bed didn’t work, making me feel like the room looked nothing like the pictures shown.
Service
5.0
While check-in staff were friendly, they seemed short on listening skills and unresponsive to my concerns about the cleanliness of the room. The maid service was better, but it felt like they only used one cleaning rag for the entire bathroom.

The location was pretty good—close to downtown and perfect for my trip to the Reno Air Races. I didn’t mind wandering around, but I did notice there were some sketchy folks around at all hours.
Dining

The included breakfast was basically just cereal and some very green bananas, which wasn’t much of anything. I was expecting more than just a continental breakfast.
Facilities
5.0
The pool area was nice enough, but overall, the facility seemed really rundown and not well maintained. It felt overpriced for what I got.

The overall facilities could use major maintenance; I noticed structural areas that really need to be power sprayed. The pool was nice, but those aspects did little to enhance my experience.
